The Name that is above every other name has power to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can imagine or think according to His purpose BUT we need to call the name the name. 

 

Philippians 2 v 9 - 11

 

9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
   and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
   in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
   to the glory of God the Father.

 

The Lord has many names which remind us of His attributes. Here are some below:

 

Elohim - Supreme God, Strong One, Creator God

Genesis 1:1 - "In the beginning God [Elohim] created the heavens and the earth."

 

Genesis 17:

5 No longer will you be called Abram[b]; your name will be Abraham,[c] for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

 

Jeremiah 31:33

33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
   after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
   and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
   and they will be my people.

 

El Shaddai – God Almighty, All-sufficient One

Genesis 17:1 – “Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty [El Shaddai]; Walk before Me, and be blameless.”

 

Attributes: All-powerful, Enough, Owner of all

 

Genesis 49:24

But his bow remained steady,
his strong arms stayed[l] limber,
because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob,
because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
25 because of your father’s God, who helps you,
because of the Almighty,[m] who blesses you
with blessings of the skies above,
blessings of the deep springs below,
blessings of the breast and womb.

 

2Corinthians 12:9

8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

 

 

El Roi - God Who sees Me, God of Seeing

 

Genesis 16:13 "Then she (Hagar) called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, "You are a God who sees me”(El Roi); for she said, “Have I even seen Him here and lived after He saw me?”

 

Attributes:  All-knowing, Attentive

Matthew 6:

3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

 

1 Peter 3:12

2 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
   and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”[a]
